Let's get Mani-Cured!
Are you tired of spending hours at the nail salon, or buying press-ons that only look good in product photos? At Mani-Cured, we believe that beautiful nails should be accessible and hassle-free. Let us help you master the art of press-on nails.
Press-on nails are a convenient and affordable alternative to traditional manicures. With a little practice and the right techniques, you can achieve salon-quality results in the comfort of your own home. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, we've got you covered with our step-by-step guide to the preparation and application of press-on nails.
Preparation
Before applying press-on nails, it's important to properly prepare your natural nails. Please do not skip these steps so you can enjoy beautiful nails for longer!
1. Start with clean and dry hands. Remove any existing nail polish and gently file your nails to your desired shape.
(optional: Push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher or a wooden stick. This will help create a more natural look.
2. Lightly buff the surface of your nails to create texture. Nail tips do not adhere well to smooth surfaces.
3. Wipe your nails with the alcohol pad. Let dry.
Dry-fitting
Before you apply your nails, make sure that your press-ons are the right size, shape and length! Remove your press-ons from the package and gently press them against each fingernail to check the fit. If the press-ons fit well, you can move on to the application steps.
If the press-ons are too big, you can file them down for a better fit.
If the press-ons are too small, you can try this trick!
Nail tape or glue?
There are three different ways to wear our nails: Adhesive tabs, regular glue and extra-strength glue. Both adhesive tabs and regular glue sticks come included with every set. Extra-strength glue is free with $100+ orders and can be purchased separately.
Adhesive tabs (FREE with every purchase): Also known as 'nail tape', these are great for first-time customers and anyone who wants to enjoy their nails for a short time. These go on like stickers and peel off like stickers!
We strongly recommend using the adhesive tabs if you are new to using press-ons!

Application
✨️Please be sure to do a dry fitting FIRST to check the fit.
✨️Please do NOT skip the preparation steps!
✨️We recommend using the adhesive tabs for first-time customers.
✨️Please work on one nail at a time.
Adhesive tabs (nail tape):
1. Peel the flexible thin film from the strip to expose the non-sticky side of the tabs.
2. Detach an adhesive tab from the strip and apply the sticky part to the nails. Press down firmly
*TIP: The adhesive tabs stay on because your body temperature melts the adhesives and they become sticky! For better adhesion, rub the adhesive tab once it is on your nail to warm it up with friction. This makes the tab stay on the nail better and it also makes it easier to remove the smaller protective film from the tape.
3. Peel the protective film of the tab to reveal the sticky adhesive and apply the press-on. Press firmly.
4. Repeat this process for each nail.
IMPORTANT: Avoid touching water for at least 20-30 minutes post-application to make the nails stay on better.
Avoid touching any oily/greasy substances.
Regular & Extra-Strength glue:
✨️ Use glue only when you are ready to commit!
1. Apply glue to your nail. Make sure you apply enough glue to cover the entire nail.
2. Apply a small amount of glue to the press-on as well, but only to the part that will touch your nails.
3. Apply the press-on when the glue is still wet. Hold the press-on in place until the glue is completely dry. Do not try to adjust the position when the glue is almost dry.
4. Repeat this process for each nail, ensuring that the press-on nails are aligned with your natural nails and that there are no gaps or air bubbles.
*****IMPORTANT: please be extremely careful not to get our extra-strength glue on skin and clothes, etc. Please have a DAMP CLOTH handy prior to use. Wipe with a DAMP CLOTH immediately if you get the glue on anything accidentally. Please DO NOT use a dry paper towel, alcohol pad or dry cloth.
Please keep out of children's reach and keep it away from flames.
Maintenance
With proper care, your press-on nails can last several weeks. Avoid exposing them to excessive water, oil or harsh chemicals, as this can weaken the glue and cause the nails to lift. If a press-on nail does come loose, simply reapply! Our nails are reusable as many times as you like.
Removal
Adhesive tabs: They can be peeled off. Apply oil generously around the nail if the adhesion is too strong.
Regular & Extra-strength glue: When you're ready to remove your press-on nails, soak them in warm soapy water and oil mixture for at least 10-15 minutes to loosen the glue. We recommend taking a bath with bath oil or doing greasy dishes (killing two birds with one stone!). Oil breaks down the adhesion.
Dry your hands and wait about 10 minutes before attempting removal. This is because your natural nails are weak when they are wet and trying to remove the press-ons while your nails are soft can damage them.
Using a cuticle stick, pick around the edges of your nail to find a ‘sweet spot’ where the nail tip has started to separate from your nail bed. Gently lift the press-on nails from the sides, taking care not to damage your natural nails.
Gently file away any glue residue from your nail beds.
Finish with cuticle oil and hand cream.
